Rebekah’s Review
Elisabeth Elliot is one of my favorite authors. This book is a beautiful and honest look at the role of women in the context of married life. It is a collection of short letters that she wrote to her daughter who was soon to be married, and it continues to bless countless Christian women all over the world. This should be on every married woman’s bookshelf!
I read the book as part of my devotions. Reading just one chapter per day was workable pace in my busy schedule, and one chapter gave me plenty to contemplate throughout the day.
“What sort of world might it have been if Eve had refused the Serpent’s offer and had said to him instead, ‘Let me not be like God. Let me be what I was made to be — let me be a woman’?”
