Who doesn’t love a great easy holiday treat?   My husband and daughter whipped up some sea salt caramel last night. After letting it cool overnight, the rest of the girls helped wrap them up. Of course, we had to eat some as we wrapped them.  Add to that some “quality control” tasting we ended up with a little more than 2 1/2 lbs. of pure deliciousness!  These individual caramels are perfect for gift giving or for your own personal sweet tooth stash.  Enjoy it!   Sea Salt...

This hearty soup is hubby approved, and it’s actually pretty easy to make.  It’s creamy, comforting, and so good!  The base of the soup is the tomato parmesan, so if you don’t happen to have the tortellini or the sausage on hand, you could leave those out and it would still be a super yummy dish.  I don’t usually have cream on hand, so I usually substitute that part of the recipe with a roux to thicken it up a bit (you’ll see that alternative at the bottom of the recipe).  However, for...

This recipe is hubby approved!  We like salty foods, and this was a great way to use up all that fresh Alaska Red salmon.  We smoked our own salmon filets (recipe to come in the future), and used that for the main ingredient.  Super yummy!   Smoked Salmon Spread 2015-09-15 05:37:28 Salty and savory spread for your crackers or breads.
