If you have a young boy, do you have this problem? My son likes to keep his Lego set packaging so that he can look at the pictures. I guess it’s like a magazine for him. The problem is, of course, that it’s a mess of broken down boxes that keep his room from looking nice and neat. Well, I had an idea.
I needed to turn this pile of boxes…
… into a more organized apparatus like this…
Using ModgePodge, I glued some fabric onto a large, unused notebook. You will probably do a better job than I did!
Then I cut out all of the pictures on the boxes, punched holes in them and inserted them into the notebook.
Some of the boxes were too large to fit into the notebook, so I folded them like into an expandable page.
I know it’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but my 8 year old boy loves it! He was very disappointed when I said he needed to get rid of the all the boxes, but he was a happy kid when he saw what I did with them. Now he can look at them whenever he feels like it without having to keep a pile of packaging in his closet. He keeps it on his shelf next to his magazine holder full of Lego instruction books.
Today he as been carrying it around the house. Perfect! Score one for Mommy!
